Admission Criteria for Methadone Clinic

Addiction Services and Pharmacotherapy has established the following admission criteria:

• Patients are eighteen (18) years of age or older

• Physical dependence to opioids existing for a minimum of one (1) year
  • Patients may be admitted to ASAP, with less than one year of continuous physiological opioid dependence if they were released from prison, or otherwise institutionalized, within six (6) months prior to their application for admission to ASAP.
     
  • Opioid dependent women, who are currently pregnant, may be admitted to Addiction Services and Pharmacotherapy, without physical signs of opioid withdrawal or have less than one year of continuous physiological opioid dependence.
